Ford Ranch Wagon Seat Belt
Ford manufactured the Ford Ranch Wagon from the year 1952 until 1974. From 1975 until 1977 a few Custom 500 station wagons were sold, but the Ranch Wagon name was dropped and they were specifically sold for fleet buyers. During its span on the automotive market, sales of the vehicle took place in both the United States and Australia.

From 1952 to 1962, the Ford Ranch Wagon was classified as a two-door full-size vehicle. The vehicle was available with two different engine options—a standard “Mileage Maker” 6-cylinder and a flathead V8. Overall, it took inspiration from the European shooting-brake body style. In later years, the vehicle faced several cosmetic transformations. From 1963 to 1964, the Ford Ranch Wagon switched to the intermediate-size vehicle class. However, that did not last long and, from 1965 to 1974, it transferred back to the full-size vehicle class. In the year 1966, the vehicle was the recipient of a new innovation created by Ford—something called the dual-action Magic Door gate. Basically, this meant that it could be opened both sideways or downward, depending on the preference of the owner.
