Ford Aerostar Seat Belt
The Ford Aerostar was introduced by Ford Motor Company on June 15th, 1985 and was in production until August 22, 1997. The assembly of the vehicle took place in Hazelwood, Missouri. The Ford Aerostar was a vehicle in the minivan class with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive, and front-engine, all-wheel-drive layout. The platform of the vehicle was a Ford VN1 platform.

While using a specific chassis, the Ford Aerostar was manufactured with a lot of interchangeable parts with other Ford light-truck products of that time period—first, the Ford Ranger/Bronco II and later on, the Ford Explorer/Mazda Navajo. Some of the main components that are shared included the wheels, powertrain, and front suspension system. As opposed to the E-Series van, the Aerostar’s body framework was created with extra full-length frame rails. The Jeep Cherokee XJ, the Chevrolet Astro/GMC Safari vans, and the Honda Ridgeline pickup truck also utilized this vehicle construction.

The successors of this vehicle were the Ford Windstar and Ford Transit Connect.

Although the Ford Aerostar isn’t in production today, you may still have it standing in your garage or be driving it to this day. If you are driving it, it needs to be maintained like any other vehicle—new or old—does. Something you should regularly do is check on the condition of the seat belts. Over time, seat belts can become worn out, cut, or frayed and require complete re-webbing. A company you can turn to for complete seat belt webbing replacement and other Ford Aerostar seat belt repair services is Safety Restore.
