Three easy steps to replace your Airbag Module
An airbag is a very important part of the car and they save you from major accidents leaving you with no scratch at all. Step 1
Before you begin with the process of resetting the airbag module, make sure you disconnect the battery in order to avoid shocks and complications.
Step 2
Taking out the fuse from the dashboard is the next step when you reset airbag module. This is to ensure that the airbag does not go off while you are still working on it. You are then supposed to take out the airbag from where it is stored and then disconnect the electrical couplings before completely taking it out.
Step 3
When you are replacing the new airbag component, reconnect the couplings and then close the compartment. The battery is then to be connected back from where it was disconnected. You must not forget to reset the system fuse, as it is a very important part of resetting the module.
Apart from these steps, which are useful to reset airbag module, it is also important to ensure that the airbag computer is in working condition. The computer is the main component, which inflates the airbag during accidents. When an accident occurs, the timing of an airbag plays a very important role in keeping you safe.
