Dodge Durango SRS Airbag Modules
The Dodge Durango is a mid-size sport utility vehicle, also known as an SUV which was produced by Dodge. The Durango went through only three generations. The first generation was produced from 1997 through 2003, it was made like a sturdy truck-based SUV designed to hold up to seven passengers and tow up to 7,500 lb. The Durango was based on the Dakota pickup and shares lots of features which includes front end, instrument panel, and front seats. To make room for a more practical forward-facing third row, Dodge also shortened the length of the front doors and raised the roof two inches beyond the front seats, allowing for stadium seating.
The second generation was produced from 2003 until 2009, it was 7 inches longer, 2 inches wider, and 3 inches taller than the previous model. It also offered a third-row bench with three seats, giving it an eight-seat capacity. The third generation was produced from 2010 until today. The 2014 Durango was redesigned with sportier-looking lines and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It also added a revised steering wheel, instrument cluster, rotary shift knob, and a reconfigurable 7-in thin film transistor display.
The Dodge Durango has had a couple of things done differently to it but has always kept up with its safety equipment. Making sure everything works properly is very important. If you get into an accident, even a minor one, always make sure you get an SRS airbag module reset. Safety Restore can help save thousands of dollars by using your old airbag module and repairing to its new self again.
