The Cadillac Series 61 was introduced in  Cadillac's 1939 model range which replaced the Series 60 and 65. It was replaced by the Series 62 for a little while in 1940 only to return to production in the model year 1941, and it remained in production through 1951. The Series 61 had a  Fisher-body and used 126 in wheelbase. You had a couple of options with this vehicle as it was available as a club coupe or sedan. Some amazing and interesting facts about this vehicle are that it was not only used in racing, but also in a film. Briggs Cunningham and his team bought 2 Series 61 DeVilles to the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans. One of the Cars was modified for racing and was named "LeMonstre". However, the other one they brought along, was bone stock with some minor modifications and it finished 10th overall while the modified car finished 11th. A 1939 convertible Cadillac Series 61 was also used in the Batman film series of 1943 to act as the  Batmobile.
