The Volkswagen Brasilia is a compact car manufactured by Volkswagen from 1973 to 1982. It features 3 or 5 door options with a rear-engine design. The Brasilia was created with the Brazilian market in mind. The president of Volkswagen at the time, Rudolf Leiding, asked his company’s designers to recreate the famous Beetle but with a great focus on practicality, economy, and size (larger).
