Ford Escort Seat Belt
Ford Motor Company produced the Ford Escort from the year 1980 until 2003. From 1981 until 1990, the Ford Escort was classified as a subcompact car. From 1991 until 2002, it was classified as a small car. This vehicle has an FF, or front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. Basically, this means that both the driven road wheels and the internal combustion engine are located at the front of the car. The Escort was the first model of Ford in North America to be built this way, following in the footprints of the popular Honda Civic and Volkswagen Rabbit of that time.

The predecessors of the Ford Escort were the Ford Pinto, the Mercury Bobcat, and the Ford Fiesta. The successors of the Ford Escort happened to be the Ford Focus and the Mercury Tracer.

Although this vehicle isnโ€™t in production any longer, it was one of the most successful Ford models in the 1980s. As a matter of fact, it was the single best-selling automobile in its second year in America and during the majority of that decade! It certainly held a much better reputation than the Ford Pinto, which was infamous for a fuel tank defect in one of its units.

The Ford Escort is still seen on the road today, although not as much as it was before. Like any other vehicle, it should be well maintained. If you own this vehicle and notice that there are problems with the seat belts, you should get Ford Escort seat belt repair immediately. Safety should be your number one priority and the seat belts are the number one safety component in your vehicle. A great company you can turn to for Ford Escort seat belt repair is Safety Restore.
